I. The Basics
  1. What service does FishCan.com provide?

      Fishcan provides an free visitor logger for your Xanga page. It captures the Xanga name of the user visiting your site if that person is logged in. It also captures the IP Address, what page they are linking from, and what page they are visting on your page.

  2. How do I use FishCan.com?

      Just sign-up with your xanga name. Then when you login, goto "install code" and following the directions for installing the code on your site for our tracker to start working for you.

  3. Can I use FishCan.com outside of Xanga.com?

      No, our FishCan tracker will only work for Xanga.com.

  4. I have more the one Xanga account, can I tracker both accounts?

      Yes. You just need to create another Fishcan account with the other Xanga name.
II. My Account
  1. I have trouble logging in, what can I do?

      Remeber your login should be your Xanga Name. If you forgot your password, you can retrieve it here with the email you registered with.

      Also, make sure you have your cookies enable or you will not be able to login. You can go to CookieCentral.com for more information about cookies.

  2. What is an IP Address?

      Basically, an IP address (internet protocol address) is a unique number that tells you where the person is on the network or computer.

      If a user is visiting from the same computer, that person should have the same IP Address.

      In certain cases, the IP address for a visitor will be different everytime. This is when that person is using a dial-up service or an ISP that uses Dynamic IP allocation.

  3. Can I prevent Unknown users from viewing my Xanga page?

      When you login to your account, go to "Install Code" and check off the option for "Block Unknown Users from viewing your page." This will redirect all users that are not login to Xanga's main page.

  4. What happened to my old logs?

      To keep our tracker running smoothly, recent logs are limited to 300 entries. But all other statistics (Visitors, IP, Pages Viewed, Referers, Graphs) are kept from the day you opened your account or the last time you reseted your logs.

  5. Can I clear or reset my logs?

      Yes, if you what to start from scratch and clear your logs, just login and goto "My Account". Then type in your password in the Clear/Reset Logs Box and click the button.

  6. How do I delete my Fishcan Account?

      To delete your Fishcan account, just remove our code from your Xanga page and your account will automatically be deleted in 3 weeks.
